So that nothing surprises students: technical support during the online test

The college entrance exam tends to be the first experience of a really important online test for most students. To make them feel comfortable working with ScioLink, we have fine-tuned support that is available to them both before and during the test.

Is a classic laptop with an old webcam enough for me? Can I have note paper on my desk? How do I know that answers to questions have been sent safely? What if... Students tend to have a lot of questions in connection with online exams. And rightly so.

We help them prepare for the test at ScioLink with sophisticated technical support. We always prepare for them onboarding and our specialists respond to emails and phone calls — in Czech and English.

Compulsory onboarding before the exam

Approximately one week before the test, all applicants will receive from us email with a link to a special websitewhere they will find all the rules and instructions for the exam.

From the web they will also click into the test application itself, in which they will try a short test at a time. “We call it onboarding and it's mandatory for students. In this way, everyone will try initial identification, verify that they have sufficient technical equipment, become familiar with the operation of the application, record on webcam the surroundings of their workplace and answer training questions,” explains Johana Šperlová, Business Development Manager at ScioLink.

Important instructions, including detailed instructions, are also described by students in a series of videos:

On the website, students will also find links to several videos in which they step by step we explain the most important, e.g. :

  • how to sign up,
  • how far away from work can a cell phone be
  • or how to pass the test.

Experienced operators on the phone

If students have any questions, either before or during the test, just contact us. “For each exam, we assemble a team of experienced specialists who sit on the phone and promptly advise or help solve the vast majority of problems,” adds Šperlová.
